aespa's Giselle has become the cover star of the August issue of ELLE KOREA. This cover shoot was even more special as she was joined by her dog, Cooper. Giselle shared, “I feel happiness in moments when I can be my true self, such as when I’m doing a photo shoot or when I’m with Cooper. Being with Cooper, who has been a family for so long, makes this experience even more meaningful and joyful,” adding deeper significance to this cover shoot.
After the photo shoot, an interview was held. Giselle, who showed a new side of herself through aespa's latest single “Dirty Work,” shared her thoughts on her activities, saying, “I think I’m gradually finding my own color. I try to express the vibe I want for myself as much as I can, while also going through a process of adjusting together. I’ve been really busy lately with music show appearances and more, but I’m happy because I get to meet a lot of fans.”
As aespa is well-known for its distinct concepts, when asked about visual work, Giselle responded, “It’s one of the parts I personally enjoy the most during the preparation process. Not just the visual concept, but we also have meetings with the director before filming the music video, and all the members actively share their opinions. I don’t think any outcome can be created through an easy process,” showing her professional attitude.
When asked about the influence of good conversations on her, she said, “A good conversation with a good person feels like a kind of escape for me. I tend to be a bit cynical, so when I talk to someone with a positive outlook, it’s fun to notice the differences between us.”
