Both of these songs are originally from first gen SMs group.
Dreams come true was released by SES (the song actually comes from the Finnish group Nylon Beat but SM bought the rights to the song), but then Arspa did a remake of the song, with full promotion, as a digital single, with an mv and everything.
Regret of Times is a song released by Seo Taiji and boys. Aespa did a remake of the song in early 2024, which was released with no noise, no fuss. No mv, no promotion, no nothing.
From what I know there is nothing technically different between the two songs that could have prevented RoT from being treated like DCT. The song is absolutely amazing, and would have done really, in my opinion. It has everything fans like, heavy vocals, high note, a rap, a great instrumental.
I wished SM had promoted it so much more.
