Did Welcome to MY world took inspiration from Our Last Night’s Empire falls?

The melody seems to be too close to be a simple accident but I can’t see them credited anywhere.

Then again like in a lot of cases it could be argued that it is a simple coincidence.

Similar chords, but totally different feel and theme. Not even close.

We can easily fit the Naevis part cause it sound the same at that part

When I first heard it, I could have sworn I had heard the melody somewhere else, but have never been able to figure out what song I was thinking of. I’ve seen a few examples of songs that sound similar, but I had never heard any of them before, so I guess it’s just one of those melodies.

Actually it may come from something older, I know The Game sampled this melody in his song Outside (with YG) https://youtu.be/EyE0EAytu-g but I don’t know the original sample and I doubt it’s from Our Last Night

  5. Interesting find.

Not discounting the reality that bigger artists regularly ‘borrow’ from obscure, lesser known artists hoping that it flies under the radar, but with the sheer quantity of music that’s put out these days I think it’s inevitable that these sorts of similarities will crop up from time to time.

Sadly music these days is dead now everything sample, stolen, etc

  7. SJ-JUSTICE

Ok this sounds way too similar for it to just be a coincidence and anyone thinking otherwise is just biased.

  8. welp. i hope whatever it is, people don’t blame aespa or even SM.

    this was all Warner Records.

  9. Definitely. It’s better to start the song from the beginning. You can hear a glimpse of “This city is so pretty when your lights on” but then the melody diverges a bit.

Honestly, not surprised how songs are created in Pop music. This is not new. Just hope credit was properly given.
